This status effect has a chance to cause the Fire! event while it is active and engine temperature is still hot. Upon using the Full Power! command, the player gains the status effect Peculiar Noises. To maintain Full Power! speeds, it is necessary to press F or click the flame icon again when engine temperature drops back down, either after depleting the current Fuel barrel or cooling naturally past 200 degrees.
Engine temperature will both rise and return to normal in a gradual manner after the current barrel of Fuel is fully consumed, as if the captain had ordered crew to stoke the boiler, rather than toggling between two discrete binary states. Over 200 Engine temperature generates additional engine power and consumes more Fuel. Upon pressing F or clicking the flame icon on the bottom of the interface, engine temperature will gradually increase, as though the crew of the ship had stoked the boiler. This effect has a chance to cause the Fire! event. Full Power! allows the ship to move faster than its normal maximum speed for a short time, at the cost of additional fuel consumption and gaining the status effect Peculiar Noises.
